Junior Streetgames Launches in Hull

June 13, 2014

A series of free sports sessions will take place across the city aimed at 8 – 13 year olds. Sessions will engage young people in a range of informal coaching sessions led by qualified coaches in local community settings.

The sessions are being delivered by First Step Sports and the Tigers Trust and will include activities such as handball, cricket, trampolining, boxing, archery and much more. No experience is needed, and the sessions will also engage qualified club coaches who will be able to offer additional advice and support to young people who show an interest in getting involved in local community based sports clubs.

All of the sessions are totally free of charge, and booking is advisable. Sessions take place at The Boulevard Academy on a Monday evening, and Sirius Academy on a Thursday evening and are led by Tigers Trust staff, and at Winifred Holtby Academy on a Tuesday and Woodford Leisure Centre on a Wednesday led by First Step Sports.

All sessions run from 4.30 – 6.00pm. Incentives are available for young people who attend sessions on a regular basis. For more information or to book, please contact Matt Conway at the tigers Trust on 358 371, or Chelsea Whittleton at First Step Sports on 218 753
